Eye Models
CS 8/1 is the more comprehensive piece — a 5× enlarged model with 9 removable parts covering the bony orbit, ocular muscles, nerves, blood vessels, and lacrimal organs together. The standalone eyeball-with-orbit models (3× enlarged, 8–9 parts) focus more narrowly on the eyeball and immediate orbital contents without the same depth of muscle/nerve/vessel detail. If your course covers extraocular muscle function or orbital neurovascular anatomy specifically, CS 8/1 is the better fit.
One includes the lacrimal apparatus as part of its removable-parts set; the other (a similar 3× model) covers the ocular muscles and optic nerve but omits the lacrimal structures. If your course teaches tear production and drainage anatomy, confirm the lacrimal organs are explicitly listed in the model's part breakdown before ordering — the naming alone doesn't always make this clear.
Yes — cataract models are pathology-focused, built to compare healthy lens anatomy against four cataract types (cortical, nuclear, posterior polar, and coronary) rather than teaching general eye structure. Order these specifically for ophthalmology, optometry, or patient-education use; they're not a substitute for a general anatomy eyeball model in an intro course.
